Playa del Carmen, Mexico

We changed it up a bit on this trip and tried out a new parent company resort. We had been doing AMR (Secrets, Breathless, Dreams) but this time we did an H10 resort, Oceans Riviera Paradise. Unbeknownst to us, we have actually stayed at H10 hotels two other times, one in NYC and the other in Spain. This one here is Playa del Carmen did not disappoint!

It’s one of the biggest resorts we stayed at. From the main lobby to the ocean was about a 10-15 min walk which we actually enjoyed. They have quite a few restaurants to choose from. We ate at the Italian restaurant, Japanese, French, Mexican, Steakhouse, and another one for only the guest tier we were in.

One unique thing this resort had that we hadn’t seen before was a bowling alley. I was pretty stoked about this and we made sure to stop in a couple times. We quickly found out though, that other guests have no clue how to bowl or even any basic bowling etiquette. Like, more than just bowling when you’re about to, but they would take your ball like its some free-for-all. That part was little weird for me.

Our room was pretty nice as well (pic below). We’re big fans of having a swim out and this one was nice since it was right across from the main pool and main swim up bar we frequented.

As always, we do our morning coffee and beach walks and this time it was a little more entertaining than usual. This resort has monkeys and coatis that roam the resort, mainly in the morning. No doubt, they provided some fun entertainment!!
