When we think of Amsterdam, we think of tulips, cheese, bikes, and canals. It’s hard not to see at least one of those when roaming the streets of Amsterdam.
One of the items on our list was to tour the Anne Frank House. You’re not allowed to take pictures inside but believe me, it is a moving, emotional, humbling, experience.
In terms of food, we found this brunch place we really liked called Coffee & Coconuts. Syd still dreams about that avocado toast. We also enjoyed the stroopwafels, variety of cheese, and fries dipped in MAYO! 🤤 Stroopwafel is a popular Dutch treat that is a must when in Amsterdam.
Another highlight was visiting De Poezenboot. It’s a nonprofit houseboat sanctuary where you can adopt cats. Of course, Syd had to buy a shirt but at least the money went to a great cause!
