Zadar, Croatia

Our third stop on our Croatian trip was Zadar. On our way there, we stopped in a town called Primosten (click here to read all about that little gem of a town).

Our hotel was located right next to the Sea Organ and the Greeting To The Sun. The Sea Organ is music created by the waves of the sea. If we had more time, we could totally see how calming it would be to just sit there and listen to the music of the sea. The Greeting To The Sun is a giant solar panel on the ground that soaks in sun all day for its show at night. When we arrived to watch the light show, there was a dude in the middle on a saxophone just killing notes. It was a perfect way to watch the sunset.

While wondering the streets of Zadar, we came across a place that we obviously could not pass up, Deja Brew. A craft beer place where we could try a bunch of different local brews. After sipping some adult beverages, on brewery stood out, Brlog. We realized its only about 10 minutes outside of town and worth a visit, so we did just that! Amidst our beer tasting, we met a playful kitten, and in a nod to the brewery, we affectionately named him Brlog (although his owners probably had a different name for him). Syd and Brlog quickly had a special bond and Syd promised to help take care of all of Brlog’s stray cat friends. So, we went to the grocery store to buy cat food and treats and Syd quickly became a favorite to all the cats in Zadar.
