First time in the Dominican Republic and it did not disappoint!
We stayed at a Margaritaville in Cap Cana. The resort is brand new and had just opened a few months prior to us staying there. I’m not sure if this was a renovated resort or brand new but either way, they did a great job with it and every detail had that “5 O’clock Somewhere” feeling.
We didn’t leave the resort to do any excursions, we just stayed there and chilled out for a week. We spent our mornings walking on the beach, the afternoons at the swim-up bar with our favorite bartender, Franyelin, and our nights enjoying all the restaurants it had to offer.
Our room had a swim out pool. Originally, we assumed that the pool would connect to the rest of the main pool like at other resorts we’ve stayed. Not this time. Our pool was on the second floor. Different but kind of nice really. We could still hear the music playing at the main bar but we basically had our own private pool if we wanted to get away from people for a bit!
Another great trip and time to start planning the next!
